Life can be difficult. And sometimes it’s just too difficult for you to handle by yourself.
I assist my clients, both individuals and couples, in their efforts to handle the problems they can’t resolve by themselves. Whether these problems concern relationship or parenting issues; life transitions such as divorce, loss of a loved one or job loss; or more general conditions such as anxiety or depression, one thing is clear – something needs to change for the better. My goal is to help my clients envision and create this change and to be able to experience their lives in a more effective and satisfying way.
I believe that therapy is very much a participatory process, not something that you have “done” to you. Functioning in much the same manner as an expert consultant or coach would, I actively collaborate with my clients in a spirit of open-ended inquiry and curiosity that is grounded in a sense of mutual trust and safety. I bring to my practice all of the empathy, passion, knowledge, humor and experience that I have gleaned from my years of work in the fields of therapy, as well as business and law, to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment that facilitates greater self-awareness and change.
The end result is not a life free of problems, but rather the enhanced ability to deal with whatever challenges life has in store for you, leading to increased satisfaction in daily life and ultimately to a sense of fulfillment and happiness.
